How do I login to an online resource from the Library?
Online resources from the Library, such as eBooks, streaming videos, online articles and databases require you to login with your student network username and password.
Your username and password for these resources is the same one you use to login to Moodle, TAFE email, TAFE computers, and so on. The way you login has changed from April 2022 as we have now implemented OpenAthens as our authentication software. The login screen will look like this
Use your TAFE email address as your username eg.
If you have forgotten your username or password, see the link below to reset it.
This will commence an 8 hour OpenAthens session and you will not be asked to login to any other library eresources during this time, no matter how many you visit.
If you have already logged in to a Wodonga TAFE application (such as Moodle), you may not be asked to login again to visit the library eresource.
Can you see a La Trobe logo?
If you are trying to access an eBook/online resource from the La Trobe Library website, unfortunately due to licensing restrictions these e-resources are not available to Wodonga TAFE students. If you are trying to request a physical item from the library, or view and renew your loans from the La Trobe Library website the library username and password for physical collections is different. Are you trying to access Standards via the Techstreet database?
To access the Techstreet database you will need to create a personal account using your Wodonga TAFE email address (studentIDno@wodongatafe.edu.au). There is also specific software required for viewing PDFs successfully. For more information about using Techstreet see the link to Find Standards below.
When clicking on the PDF or ePub link for an eBook, nothing happens (the eBook won't open)
Try refreshing or reloading the page, then click on the PDF/ePub link again.
If you are using Chrome, the reload button is the circular arrow beside the Home button.
If you are using Edge, the refresh button is the circular arrow beside the browser address bar (or press CTRL + R)
Link provided by my teacher is not working
It is possible that the link may need updating from our old EZProxy system to the new OpenAthens system. Please notify your teacher that the link is not working so they can update it. If you know the name of the resource you should be linking to, try searching for it direct from the library website.
